We are thrilled to share the exciting news of Simpson Housing's partnership with Entryway, formerly known as Shelters to Shutters. Together, we are taking proactive steps to address homelessness in the cities where we operate. Entryway is an organization dedicated to providing employment and housing opportunities to individuals experiencing situational homelessness. By joining forces with Entryway, we aim to make a lasting impact and contribute to the betterment of our communities.
Entryway focuses on the 70% of the homeless population who find themselves situationally homeless due to various circumstances such as job loss, medical emergencies, divorce, domestic abuse, or the loss of a primary income earner. These individuals possess marketable job skills and a strong desire to regain stability in their lives. Entryway's approach recognizes that homelessness can happen to anyone, and through compassion and targeted support, it aims to provide the tools necessary for individuals to rebuild their lives. Since 2015, Entryway, and its multifamily partners, have made a tangible difference in the lives of over 475 individuals and their families. By providing a secure path to economic self-sufficiency, the program has successfully transitioned program participants out of homelessness and into stable, independent living situations. This outstanding accomplishment highlights the profound impact that partnerships can have in creating positive change.
As a multifamily owner/operator, Simpson Housing recognizes the unique position it holds to affect positive change within the communities it serves. By partnering with Entryway, we are actively contributing to the fight against homelessness and working towards the goal of creating thriving, inclusive neighborhoods.
